Campus Health Center

Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, is proud to have the in-campus healthcare facility for the students and staff of the institution. Dr. Jyoti Prasad Pattnaik, MBBS, PGDMCH, PGDHM has been associated as Medical Officer of the institution from 2005. Health in all its aspects is critical for the well being of a student so that he can become a good and successful student in present years as well as a successful person in years to come. The basic principle behind setting up a student health and counseling center was to provide physical as well as mental health advices to all the students.

The mission of the Campus Health Center is to promote academic excellence, enrich the student experience and support retention by providing high quality, accessible and comprehensive medical care to students, with a focus on multidisciplinary services, health education and prevention.

At the Student Health Center, we believe you should develop personal responsibility for your health during your years at Roland.  Staying healthy will give you a competitive edge, both now and in the future.  Maximize your education at Roland by improving your health and staying healthy.

The care you receive will be based upon an important partnership with you.  Primary physical and psychological healthcare and health education are provided through the Student Health Center, the Counseling and Psychiatric Service and Health Education Services.

During the college hours he provides consultation, examination and referral services to the students in case of emergencies and also ailing students.

The medical officer’s chamber is situated on the first floor of the old building of the institution, where one can visit and get required consultation during the college hours. Post-college hours Dr Pattnaik, is available to visit the hostels as and when required.

The healthcare facility in the campus also organized health camps for the students and staff of the institution from time to time and provide valuable feedback and advices to the staffs and students who are in need to healthcare services.

Apart from all this it also provides opportunity to the students to go on a tour to the local medical college to learn more about medicinal science during their special programmes.

The health center also organized free blood sugar checking camp for geriatric patients of this locality for free on every Saturday morning for one year during the silver jubilee celebrations of the institution.

All the students joining for B.Pharm and M.Pharm are advised to take some preventive vaccines like Hepatitis B, Typhoid etc. So that they do not get affected by these diseases as during the four years of their stay at Roland, they may face the danger of being infected by either of this.
